As immigration dominates national headlines and many immigrants and refugees face increasing fear and uncertainty, we are coming together during the same weekend as other Covenant churches around the country to hold prayer gatherings on March 23 at 4 p.m. These times of prayer will take place during our regularly scheduled Engage Groups. Through guided prayer, we will stand in solidarity with immigrant and refugee communities.
The prayer, themed “God Sees, God Hears, God Helps,” will be a time of lament, prayer, and a call to action, centering solidarity with the experiences of immigrants and refugees. Participants will lift prayers for those who are suffering, for leaders to pursue just and compassionate solutions, and for communities of Christian faith to respond with mercy and courage.
Dinner will follow the time of prayer.
