Rachel will bring the message with our BIG IDEA God sent Jesus to save us. Current Sermon Series: Full Bloom (Easter): Spring is the season for new beginnings! Whether you're cleaning out parts of your home or watching the flowers bloom in your garden, it's a time for new life and growth. Like a good gardener, Jesus wanted to help cultivate the seeds of faith in his friends so they could all grow closer to God. Finding Our Place In The Movement
As a new church plant forms in Manhattan, Kansas – Manhattan Covenant Church – Pastor Lexi has had the privilege of working alongside the planters Sam Creager and Amanda Brahn in her role as Director of Church Planting for the Midwest Conference and Engager Claire McClun is serving as their church planting coach. Here's a little about MCC: Since connecting through the Covenant in early 2024, we (Sam, Amanda and our families) have teamed up to launch a new church in Manhattan, Kansas! We both saw a need for a church that embodies the values of the ECC and felt called to be the ones to plant it. We’ve spent the past year building relationships, discerning our vision and mission, and shaping our church’s core values. As we move forward, we are forming a committed Launch Team and preparing for preview services in summer 2025. Join us in prayer and partnership at mhkcovenant.org!
We'd love to be able to bless MCC as a partner church. We've set up a fund dedicated to MCC. You can find in through our giving site by selecting Manhattan KS Church Plant. The Langs have committed $25 per month. Would you join us in a monthly or one-time gift of any amount to help launch this new plant? We'll have opportunities to hear from Sam and Amanda soon and we'll keep you posted on the church's progress. If you know anyone who lives in or near Manhattan, please help us spread the word about MCC. We'd also invite you to be praying for Sam and Amanda and other planters. Starting new churches requires deep dependence on the Holy Spirit. As Paul wrote, "I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow" (1 Corinthians 3:6). As you pray, ask God to:
